SUP Adventure

The SUP Adventure is a great opportunity to connect with our local māori guides and explore past the shores of Pilot Bay. This immersive experience offers for each participant a choose a board from our fleet and take it out on an outdoor adventure! When choosing this adventure, you increase the risk of falling in the water!
This outdoor adventure includes a 15 minute land-based lesson, a 60 minute guided lesson on the open water, and a short 30 minute walk to a smaller mountain, Hopukiore! We'll be sure to discuss the local and native plants nearby and how we utilise natural resources. Book in now to explore the coastal and communal pathways!
SUP Adventure
- Land-based lesson and a guided tour of Pilot Bay
- Safety briefing and preparations before departing
- Enter the water safely and apply the paddling technique
- Paddle past the shores of Pilot Bay and near the boundary line of Mauao, Mount Maunganui.
- Develop paddling technique, including steering tips and how to recover after a fall into the water.
- Learn more about Mauao and what's happening at present.
- Building confidence and comfortability
- Race back to the beach and prepare for a short 30 minute walk.
- Return from Hopukiore, where you can enjoy light refreshments and a beverage.

You can choose to be collected from the gates of the Port of Tauranga, or meet us onsite.
Important Information Before Booking
A moderate level of fitness is
required to participate.Come prepared to get wet. We cannot guarantee you staying dry.
There will be a safe space to leave
belongings at your own risk while you paddle.
