Mountain to the Sea - Waka Ama and Guided Mauao Walk

Immerse yourself in true Tauranga culture from the Mountain to the Sea, escorted by our local guides on waka ama canoes, walking our ancestral mountain, Mauao.

Cultural Walk of Mauao

Mt Maunganui boasts a well-loved mountain, named Mauao, seeped in history and culture. Join us in a walk through time with our local Māori guides, take in the stunning views, hear the compelling stories of our ancestors.

• Durée: 90 Minutes (environ)

Whānau Beach Day

Come hang with us! A day at the beach with your family or work group of 20 people or more. Stand up paddling and waka ama included along with two gazebos, mats and tables. Just bring food and swimwear!

Intro to Waka Ama Lesson

A fully guided introduction to the Waka Ama (outrigger canoe) sport facilitated in Pilot Bay, Mt Maunganui.

Mauao Walk and Workshop

Enjoy a guided walk around the ancestral mountain, Mauao, and partake in a workshop choosing Rāranga (weaving) or Rongoā (plant medicine).
